Biography
Ottavio Brigandì (1974) graduated In Civil Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in February 2000. He also graduated cum laude in Modern Literature at Università degli Studi di Milano in July 2011, discussing the thesis “Trattenere il “trattenimento”. Ideale poetico e femminile tra «Purgatorio» e «Paradiso»” (professor Francesco Spera and Guglielmo Barucci).
He currently works in the field of internal communication for an oil company in Milan.
He is a member of Società Dantesca Italiana and Société Dantesque de France. He carried out a regular activity as a tour guide. He curated some theatrical activities and an exhibition of engravings, both regarding Dante. He holds art and literature conferences for schools and cultural centers in Italy and Switzerland. His research interests concern the theme of colors in Dante and in Middle Ages culture, as regards the literary, scientific and iconographic point of view.
He is a native Italian speaker and he is fluent in English, French and German.
