Biography
Alda Marchese is a second-year PhD candidate in Economics at Institute of Economics (IdEP) of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), under the supervision of Patricia Funk. Previously, she was a pre-doctoral researcher at the AXA Gender Lab on Gender Equality at Bocconi University.
Her research interests lie in the fields of gender economics, political economy, and labor economics. She mainly focuses on understanding how outstanding gender gaps can be reduced by examining individuals' preferences: what they are, how they are shaped, and how they can be changed.
