Biography
Anna Castelnovo is currently a Privatdozent (Libero Docente) at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, University of Lugano, and serves as a Senior Physician and Clinical Researcher at both Ospedale Civico di Lugano and Ospedale Regionale di Bellinzona e Valli.
She completed her medical studies and graduated from the University of Milan in 2011, followed by specialized training in psychiatry at the same institution. Between 2014 and 2015, she further honed her expertise in neurophysiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, Anna trained as a cognitive psychotherapist at Studi Cognitivi in Milan and became a certified sleep specialist in Lugano.
Her clinical and research interests primarily focus on sleep disorders, including chronic insomnia, parasomnias, hypersomnias, and the broader relationship between sleep disturbances and psychiatric conditions.
Dr. Castelnovo has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to three book chapters.
