Biography
Sara Sermini is a postdoctoral assistant at the Institute of Italian Studies at the University of Lugano, where she obtained her doctorate with a thesis on the aesthetics and politics of the representation of poverty in post-World War II Italy. She was a Visiting Doctoral Researcher at University College London thanks to a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation and a Visiting Research Fellow (SNSF) at the Université Paris Nanterre. Her research interests focus on the aesthetics and politics of representation, on cultural and literary practices, and on modern and contemporary poetry in relation to political thought.
