Biography

Meghan Jones holds a BA degree in Humanities from the University of Colorado, Boulder (USA).  In addition, she has earned a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate, a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), and a certificate as an educational trainer of adults from the Swiss Federation of Continuing Education (SVEB/FSEA).  

Meghan moved to Lugano in 2004 and has been an English teacher for eighteen years, having worked with many companies, institutions, and private professionals and young adults in the area.  She has taught at the university level since 2013 as a lecturer at the Faculty of Theology of Lugano. In 2023 she joined the Laboratory of Modern Languages (LLM) at USI where she has been teaching English courses for the faculties of Architecture and Economics, as well as staff at the Mendrisio and Lugano campuses.

Outside of USI, she occasionally takes on translation projects as part of her own business, Meghan Jones English.

Meghan is a citizen of the United States, Switzerland, and Italy.  She loves traveling whenever she has the opportunity, particularly in all three of her home countries.
