Leadership in Architecture

The course is designed to guide students through the comprehensive design and building process, highlighting the architect’s competencies and the responsibilities of all the parties involved. Emphasising the symbiotic relationship between management tasks and leadership roles, the course targets prospective architects eager to delve into Design Quality and maintain architectural integrity. The course covers six key areas: competence, collaboration, frame, management, interest, and simplicity. Through lectures and a practical workshop, participants will learn to navigate the design and building process, understand professional rules and regulations, and effectively respond to clients’ needs. Additionally, students will explore various tools and instruments essential for project implementation.
A significant component of the course is a three-session workshop where students will apply the learned methodologies in a real-world context, honing their professional competencies and project management skills. Presented as a moderated seminar, the course encourages active collaboration between students and tutors, fostering individual input and practical engagement.
