Descrizione
Communication is at the core of our existence. It defines who we are, how we relate to others, and how we shape the world around us. It is a powerful force that can heal, unite, and foster safety, yet when used poorly, it can harm, divide, and escalate risks.
This course explores the full spectrum of communication, moving from the most intimate aspects of human connection to its role in shaping health and safety in professional settings and global discourse.
Obiettivi
Using scientific research, case studies, and real-world applications, students will examine
how communication:
- Builds trust or creates distance in interpersonal relationships
- Fosters collaboration or triggers conflict in personal and professional settings
- Influences intercultural encounters and international diplomacy
- Prevents crises or escalates risks in safety-critical environments
- Shapes societal resilience, health, and security
Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of how communication operates across these different levels, analyzing both its constructive and destructive impacts on health and safety. They will encounter the work of leading communication science experts worldwide and engage in applied scenarios and interactive discussions to strengthen their ability to use communication for what matters most to us: our health and safety.
