Biografia

Dr. Josianne Kollmann completed her studies in Psychology at Philipps University Marburg, Germany, and her doctoral studies in Health Psychology at the University of Konstanz, Germany. She then moved to Switzerland to work as a postdoctoral researcher and later scientist in the Environmental Health Psychology research group at Eawag, the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology. By working at the intersection of Health Psychology and Environmental Psychology, Dr. Kollmann aims to protect and improve planetary health by investigating how human perceptions and behaviours contribute to this goal.

In her research, Dr. Kollmann focuses on predictors of behaviour change, as well as on people’s perceptions and acceptance of policies and technologies in the context of socio-ecological transitions. She has applied her research to the contexts of decentralised wastewater treatment and reuse, microplastics pollution, and infectious diseases, among others.
