Lidia Alecci

Lidia Alecci obtained a double Master’s degree in Informatics in 2021 from Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and the University of Milano-Bicocca. Her thesis, titled "Robust Recognition of Sleep Behavior Using Wearable Sensors", was conducted under the supervision of Professor Silvia Santini and Professor Francesca Gasparini. In October 2021, she joined Professor Silvia Santini’s research group as a PhD student. Her research interests include personalized models for addressing interpersonal variability, generative models, ubiquitous computing systems, well-being, and affective computing.

My research centers on wearable computing and its applications in enhancing human well-being. Specifically, I focus on addressing the challenge of inter-personal variability — differences in physiological and behavioral patterns among individuals. My approach combines generalized models with personalized strategies to achieve more accurate and effective solutions.
