Biografia
Maria Eleonora Maccari graduated in 2006 from the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio. She has collaborated with several international studios, including Balkrishna Doshi in India, studioInsito in Rome, and Barozzi/Veiga in Barcelona. Since 2013, she has run her own independent practice, now based in Lausanne.
Alongside her professional activity, she has been involved in teaching as a design studio assistant in both the Bachelor and Diploma programmes at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, working with Grafton Architects and Sánchez García. Since 2020, she has been collaborating with Studio RRR (Reduce Reuse Recycle), led by Muck Petzet, Professor of sustainable design.
In January 2026 she completed her PhD with the dissertation: "Unfinished – Social Capital. The Construction of the Unfinished in Sicily, Towards a Typological Model."
She is currently assistant of Grafton Architects in the Diploma design sudio.
