Cristian Arlex Trejos Taborda

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Management & Organization (IMO) at the Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI). My research examines how producers, consumers, policymakers, and other actors navigate uncertainty in the formation of moral markets, the development of sustainability transitions, and the materialization of desirable futures. In my doctoral dissertation, I examined the formation of the market for plant-based meat alternatives, with a theoretical emphasis on category positioning, framing resonance, and category expectations. Currently, I am developing a model that enables policymakers to systematically account for cross-system interactions and anticipate distributional consequences in net-zero transitions. I also investigate how making systemic constraints more visible can reduce the misalignment between desirable futures and public policy support.
