Sommario
This paper presents a series of experimental approaches, including 3D-printed earth fillers for concrete slabs, scored slurry layers that crack into material-optimized casting geometries, or early explorations into reconfigurable granular formworks—using crushed bricks, gravel, sand, and construction waste—shaped by manual or robotic techniques, transforming the mould itself into part of an adaptive, reversible system. Together, these investigations offer a shift from rigid, wasteful practices to a flexible, circular, and materially expressive casting paradigm. The following discussion identifies key barriers to integration—technical, regulatory, and cultural—and asks what frameworks might be required to support a broader adoption of these strategies.
