Biography
Donato Anchora (1974), architect and urban planner.
Since 2022 he is Head of Traditional Villagies and Cultural Heritage, Secretary of the Urban Planning Commission of the City of Lugano. From 2021 he is affiliated to ISUP, Institute of Urban and Landscape Studies, where he carries out teaching activities with prof. Gianni Biondillo, Alessandro Gianni Coppola, Fabio Giacomazzi, Michael Jakob, Manuel Orazi.
He studied at the ETH-Zürich and at the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, where he graduated with Aurelio Galfetti and Luigi Snozzi in 2002. He deepens his studies in urban planning by winning a scholarship at the Politecnico di Milano for the international master "Polismaker in management of urban transformations". He was owner of an architecture and urban planning studio from 2002 to 2022, collaborating with illustrious names and various public and private institutions. He was Assistant in AAM of prof. Massimo Carmassi, Bernhard Furrer, Stanislaus von Moos, Matthias Neuenschwander, Francesco Venezia. He was Scientific collaborator of the Cultural Heritage Office of the Department of the Territory of the Canton of Ticino. He has published several articles on young architects in Ticino.
