Biography
Dr. Regina Bollhalder Mayer was a lecturer in French literature and language at the University of Basel from 1998 to 2011. Since 2011, she has taught French at the Wirtschaftsgymnasium in Basel.
A specialist in turn-of-the-century French literature, she has published a book on 'Eros décadent. Sexe et identité chez Rachilde' (Paris, Champion, 2002). Another area of research is the work of Swiss writer S. Corinna Bille (1912-1979).
For several years, she has organised conferences on Francophone cultures and regularly hosts literary evenings with authors from France, French-speaking Switzerland, Belgium or Africa. In 2009, she was appointed Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes académiques for services to French culture.
Since 2007, she has held the course "Sectorial French" at USI and since 2020, the course "Culture and writing in French" (Langue française et cultures francophones). Since 2015, he has participated with USI students in the "Choix Goncourt de la Suisse", organised by the Académie Goncourt and the French Embassy in Switzerland.
