Biography

Anna Bullo has a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and works for the Faculty of Communication, culture and society at USI as a post-doc research assistant and as coordinator of the Master's programme in Communication, Management and Health (MCMH).

Her main research interest is in social norms and health prevention among children and adolescents.

From 2017 to 2021 she managed the AReS project, a longitudinal study investigating the development of risky behaviors among middle school students in Ticino. The project was carried out in cooperation with the cantonal School Division and part of collected data was analyzed in Anna Bullo’s doctoral thesis, a research on social norms and cyberbullying.

She collaborates in the in the COMETA project (Medical Communication and Antibiotic Therapy), a research conducted by the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences (BioMed) at USI, and funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

She teaches the Bachelor courses "The survey" and "Introduction to SPSS" and she is assistant to the Master course “Health communication”, as well as to the undergraduate courses ““Research Methods for Communication Sciences” and “Theory and Models of Communication”.
