Federica Frediani

He is a lecturer and scientific collaborator. He is the project leader of the Middle East Mediterranean Summit. He holds a PhD in Comparative Literature and Literary Text Translation from the University of Siena. He was a research fellow at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Bergamo, where he collaborated for ten years. In 2023, he taught a course at Lyon 2 University as part of the Minerva project. His research focuses on narratives and cultural productions, as well as the geopolitical, intercultural, and diplomatic dynamics of the Middle East Mediterranean region. He has published books and articles on cultural and political relations between the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean, on travel literature, with a particular focus on the odeporic writing of female travelers. He has coordinated and organized international projects and conferences on the Middle East Mediterranean. He regularly appears on Swiss radio and television to comment on the culture and current affairs of the Middle East Mediterranean.
