Biography
Davide Martinenghi is a contract professor at the University of Lugano and an associate professor at the DEIB Department of Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He received his M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Roskilde University, Denmark.
His research interests span several database topics, such as Ranking, Preferences, Conceptual Modeling, Data and Constraints, and Big Data. He is the author or co-author of more than 100 publications and his results have been published in the major venues in the field, including Journal of the ACM, ACM Transactions on Database Systems, VLDB Journal, Information Systems, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge & Data Engineering, PVLDB, ACM-SIGMOD, ICDE.
He has served as a Program Committee member for the top-tier conferences in the area and is an Editorial Board Member for the Data & Knowledge Engineering Journal. Currently, he serves as the Chair for the Honours Programme "Scientific Research in Information Technology" for Computer Science and Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
