Introduction to Computational Science (BSc)

Computational science is an interconnected combination of computer science and mathematics in which we develop and analyse algorithms for solving important problems in science and engineering. In this course, students will learn principles and practices of basic numerical computations. This class will cover in particular: numerical solution of linear systems, interpolation and approximation, numerical quadrature and least squares.

Knowledge and understanding of basic numerical algorithms and their implementation.
