Microeconomics: Behavioural Economics

Docente titolare del corso
Descrizione
The course begins with the study of individual preferences and their use in defining a utility function. It will then address individual choices under conditions of certainty versus uncertainty, intertemporal choices, and strategic decisions. Finally, we will examine cases where individuals make choices that are incompatible—or at least difficult to reconcile—with standard economic theory.
Obiettivi
This course represents the natural continuation of the module "Microeconomics A". The objective of the course is to deepen aspects of microeconomics useful for understanding the fundamentals of behavioral economics. By the end of the course, students should be able to understand the core concepts of behavioral economics and identify their connection to the traditional choice theory studied in microeconomics.
