Annalisa Carlevaro is Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Italian Studies (ISI). Her research is focused on language acquisition, language teaching and applied linguistics. She is working on the project: "Discourse situations and genres in second language teaching materials. The case of Italian taught to adults in Italian - speaking Switzerland".
Previously, she obtained a Bachelor degree in Translation and Interpreting (Italian and English) in 2005 at Università degli Studi di Genova (Italy). She started a professional career and held significant managing positions in Italy and Switzerland. She obtained a Bachelor degree in Lingue e Letterature Straniere (Polish and English) at Università degli Studi di Genova in 2013 and a Master degree in Lingua, letteratura e civiltà italiana at USI in 2017. She worked as a teacher of Polish language at Corsi per Adulti / Cantone Ticino and as a teacher of Italian as a second language at Università della Svizzera italiana. She was Founder, Managing Director and Lecturer of a language school in Lugano that managed from 2014 to 2017.
