Biografia
Dr. med Barbara Lucchini was born in Locarno. Since January 2018, she has been head of service for endocrinology and diabetology at the Ospedale Regionale di Locarno, and from 2020 at the Ospedale Regionale di Bellinzona e Valli.
She graduated in medicine from the University of Lausanne in 2005 and obtained her doctorate from the University of Bern in 2013.
In 2011, she obtained her FMH specialisation in internal medicine and in 2016 her FMH specialisation in endocrinology and diabetology.
She has worked at various hospitals in Switzerland (Lucerne Cantonal Hospital, LUKS, St. Gallen Cantonal Hospital, KSSG).
Her main tasks include diabetes mellitus, metabolism, thyroid disease and bone metabolism.
She is author and co-author of several publications in reputable scientific journals.
Member of several national and international endocrinology and diabetology societies.
