Biografia
Silvia Sanasi is Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Management at the Department of Management, University of Bergamo (Italy). She also serves as faculty at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), and at the Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Management, contributing to executive, corporate, and specialized programs.
Her research explores how organizations strategize in constrained circumstances, such as in the early stages of their development, in times of crisis, and when navigating tensions between past and future. Her work has been published in international peer-reviewed academic journals as well as practice-oriented outlets, including Academy of Management Perspectives, International Journal of Management Reviews, Long Range Planning, and other international outlets.
She received her Ph.D. (cum laude) from Politecnico di Milano’s School of Management in 2022. Her doctoral dissertation was selected as a finalist for the Outstanding Dissertation Award of the Academy of Management’s Strategic Management (STR) Division.
Prior to joining the University of Bergamo, she was Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. She was a Visiting Researcher (2020-2021) at the Institute of Innovation Management and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich, Germany. She holds a B.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Studies and an M.Sc. in Management Engineering (major in Design Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship) from Politecnico di Milano.
