Narjes Sheikh Asadi

Narjes Sheikh Asadi is a Ph.D. candidate and teaching assistant at IALS (Institute of Argumentation, Linguistics, and Semiotics) under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Rocci. Her Ph.D. dissertation concerns the writing styles of native and non-native English writers, considering academic writing and argumentation. She holds a Master's in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Iran University of Science and Technology. Before starting her Ph.D., Narjes was the entrepreneur of Ava International Language School in her early 20s and worked there as an education manager for 10 years. Her main research interests include the study of argumentation and education for academic teaching. It is worth mentioning that Narjes was the main candidate who was awarded the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship (ESKAS) in 2022.
