Biography

Since 2019, she is associate professor of canon law and comparative law of religions in the University of Milan, Department "Cesare Beccaria" where she coordinates also the research center on "Religious and belief minorities in the contemporary legal systems". She is also in charge of the ATLAS project "ATLAS of Religious or Belief Minority Rights" https://atlasminorityrights.eu/ on measuring and mapping minorities' rights across Europe.

She is founder and general secretary of the ICLARS (International Consortium for Law and Religion Studies) https://iclars.org/ and since 2011 a member of the editorial board of "Quaderni di diritto e politica ecclesiastica", issue n. 1.

Her research interests are devoted to the relations between law and religion; hate speech and hate crimes; the rights of religion and belief minorities in Europe; religious laws, in particular canon law, anglican canon law, muslim and hebrew law, sikh law.
