Biography

Mirjam Sarah (Mia) Lepp is a Ph.D. student working in Digital Fashion Communication. Her proposed topic is to understand the concept of fashion literacy and its connections to the sub-domains of media, health, sustainability, and product literacy. She also explores the potential impact of new technologies, like digital product passports, on the fashion literacy levels of consumers and society as a whole. Her supervisors are Professor Lorenzo Cantoni and Dr. Nadzeya Sabatini.    Before beginning her Ph.D. studies, she spent 7 years in digital communication, specifically in social media, working for global brands in the US and Europe, such as BCBGMAXAZRIA, Adidas, and Fabletics. She is originally from Estonia but spent her childhood in the US, where she earned her bachelor's degree in media communication studies and marketing from Florida State University. Afterward, she got her Master's degree in Digital Fashion Communication from USI + Sorbonne Paris 1.
