Biography
Lisa Henicz is a teaching assistant and a doctoral student at the The Institute for the History and Theory of Art and Architecture (ISA). Her doctoral thesis is framed by the SNF funded Project "Aerial Spatial Revolution" where she is part of a research team at the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen. She holds a master’s degree in architecture from the Technical University of Munich and a Master of Advanced Studies at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) of the ETH Zürich. Previously, she studied at the University of Applied Sciences Konstanz in Germany, the University of British Columbia in Canada, and the Universidad Tecnológica de la Habana in Cuba. Henicz worked as a junior architect in Hamburg and Vancouver, and on international projects as a freelance architectural designer. She has been a scholarship holder of the TUM Junge Akademie and was part of the communications team of the Department of Architecture and the School of Engineering and Design at the Technical University of Munich.
Her research interest lies in the fields of architectural history and sociology, with a focus on early 20th-century ruptures and their impact on the European built heritage.
