ENIP - Rete europea di produttori di indicatori

With the creation and strengthening of the European Research Area, efficient public policies for research and innovation at the European level require a deep knowledge on S indicators, their comparability and producers. The ENIP project will create a Network of S¤ indicators producers, based on the experience of recognised institutions, labs or groups, to develop the capacity for the interpretation of existing indicators and for the research and development of new ones.The ENIP project will produce through this action a comparison analysis between a significant number of European countries, identify European partners where action is needed and areas for further action. This will contribute for a more thorough knowledge of available data and new indicators development, necessary to strengthen the comparability of data across Europe and the interaction between the relevant actors. This is essential to build a long term European network of indicators producers.Based on data at a national level, a specific action will explore indicators on public research funding.The OST is coordinating the ENIP project. The "public funding" activity is coordinated by the Università della Svizzera italiana. ENIP is a project within the Network of Excellence Policies for Research and Innovation towards the European Research Area (PRIME), funded by the European Commission.
