Research Organizations under Scrutiny. New Indicators and Analytical Results

The 2015 Science and Technology Indicators Conference (STI2015; http://www.sti2015.usi.ch/home) will be organized in Lugano by Institute of Management of the Università della Svizzera italiana from the 2nd to the 4th of September 2015. STI is an annual conference series, dating back to 1988 and currently organized under the auspices of the European Network of Indicators Designers, which gathers the community of scholars working in the domain of the measurement of science and technology, including topics like higher education performance, research policy evaluation, bibliometrics and quantitative analyses of researchers’ performance and careers.The 2015 conference will be specifically devoted to the role of organizations in the research system, focusing on the development indicators at the organizational level and of techniques and methods to apply such indicators to the analysis of policy and scholarly questions on the role of organizations within STI systems.The conference will include three keynote speeches bridging S&T and organizational studies, paper presentations selected on the basis of an international call for proposals and special events, like panel discussions and a poster session. The conference is managed by an international program board composed by leading scholars in the field, with the support of a high-level international scientific committee for the selection of paper submissions.
