Biography
Graduated in History and Art Criticism at the University of Milan, he gained his PhD at the Accademia di architettura in Mendrisio (University of Lugano). His research focuses on sculpture from the fourteenth to the sixteenth century and on issues related to the management of workshops and construction sites. He was co-curator of the international conference Sculptors of the State of Milan (1395-1535), held in Mendrisio (Academy of Architecture) and Como (Università degli Studi dell'Insubria) in November 2018. In 2020 he published the book Tommaso Rodari e il Rinascimento comasco, and in 2020-2021 he obtained a research grant from the Canton Ticino for a study on the production of casts of Lombard Renaissance sculptures between nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He's the director of the journal "Arte e Cultura".
