Description
Neither architecture nor urbanism are codified as disciplines. Accordingly, architects can base their interventions in cities upon a multitude of premises. Conceptional options are multiplied because city, urban society, urban economy are all subjected to complex processes of transformation. The course is based on lectures, texts and discussions. Active participation in class discussions, based on readings, is required. Prior to class students will deliver a short written response to an assigned reading. Course content will be assessed in a final written exam.
