Description
Psycho-geography is a technique of the body, originating from the artistic avant-gardes, which investigates urban spaces by walking through them. Today it has become a trans-disciplinary practice which brings together various fields of knowledge that seek to understand the territory: sociology, economics, geography, anthropology, urban planning, but also literature, art, cinema, philosophy and much else. The understanding of reality, with its complexity and contradictions, is played out on the scale of the landscape. Traversing the territory, strictly on foot, using the psycho-geographical method, means understanding and interpreting the contemporary landscape, outside the commonplaces about it, restoring dignity and identity to it through the survey and the narration.
