Mathematics: Optimization

People

Erez B.

Course director

Description

Building on the notions developed in the "Mathematics: Analysis" course, we will tackle various optimisation problems, such as maximum and minimum problems, and constrained extremes problems. In particular, we will extend several results from the first course to functions with two variables.

Objectives

Optimisation theory is used to solve problems such as how to maximise a company's output, knowing that its budget is limited.

Teaching mode

In presence

Learning methods

The course will be held in presence. Tutorials will be offered on a regular basis.
