Description
This course provides an in-depth understanding of the economics and the financing of pensionsystems. Topics include the design and sustainability of pension plans, the interplay betweensaving and pensions, the role of pensions for the broader economy, the financing of pensions. The course is offered to students in different Masters, such as Master in Finance, Master in Banking and Finance, Master in Financial Communication, Master in Management and Master in Public Management and Policy.
Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the basic pension system arithmetic
- Analyze the economic and demographic factors affecting pensions
- Evaluate alternative financing options for pension funds
- Assess the risks and challenges in pension management
- Explore policy implications and reforms in pension systems
