Graduated in Architecture at the Accademia di architettura, Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), where she later gained a Ph.D (Dr. phil.). She has also collaborated with several architectural firms in Basle, Lugano, Milan and Zug. She currently works as a post-doc assistant and lecturer at the Institute for the History and Theory of Art and Architecture (ISA). Since 2019 she has held a master’s course dedicated to Architectures of trauma.
Her field of research is mainly aimed at studying the aesthetic and political meaning of the sites of memory related to traumatic historical events of the 20thcentury in Europe and the United States. She is particularly interested in unbuilt or incomplete projects for memorials, monuments and museums.
