Biography
Carmine Garzia is Associate Professor of Management at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo and SUPSI Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI). He is an adjunct professor of Business Economics at the University of Lugano (USI).
From 2018 to 2022, he was Head of Research of the Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Care (DEASS) at SUPSI, from 2014 to 2018, he was Associate Professor of Management and Head of the Graduate degree program at the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo, from 2005 to 2018 he taught as adjunct professor at Bocconi University.
His research interests are focused on entrepreneurship, strategic innovation and industry evolution. He is founder and scientific coordinator of the Food Industry Monitor, one of the largest international observatories on industry performance, food active since 2014 at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo.
He serves as an advisor and director in medium and large public and private companies.
He is a member of the System Dynamics Society and the EURAM European Academy of Management. He holds a degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University in Milan.
