Biography

A graduate in philosophy and psychology, with a PhD in philosophy, Matteo Vegetti is aggregate professor of Aesthetics and Philosophy of Space at the Academy of Architecture (USI-ARC) in Mendrisio and professor at Supsi of Theories of Space and Living (Supsi-Dacd).

He is also a member of the Master in Geopolitics at the Sapienza University of Rome. For many years he was professor of Aesthetics at the Politecnico di Milano and from 2019 to 2022 he was visiting professor at the University of Bergamo. Vegetti is also scientific director of the 'Emergenza Terra' (Supsi-Dacd) lecture series, curator of the 'Mundaneum' (Monte Verità, Ascona) and president of the 'Trame' cultural association.

 He currently coordinates the project SNF Synergy Aerial Spatial Revolution. The conquest of the air and its impact on city, architecture and territory from the origins of aviation to present time.
