GRAPES - learninG, pRocessing, And oPtimising shapES

Recent advances in mathematics, computer-aided design (CAD), and machine learning have solved numerous tasks concerning multimedia and 2D data but automation of 3D geometry processing and analysis lags severely behind. The CAD industry urgently requires advanced methods and tools for addressing new challenges. The EU-funded GRAPES project aims to bridge this gap via a multidisciplinary consortium composed of leaders in their respective fields. The project is working to form a new generation of European scientists and engineers to create applications that will include simulation and fabrication, hydrodynamics and marine design, manufacturing and 3D printing.
