Abstract
The project deals with the presence of the Bible (the Historical Books in particular) in Leopardi´s works, focusing on the as yet neglected Inno ai Patriarchi (Hymn to the Patriarchs). The aim is to provide new views on Leopardi´s thought about theology and politics, as well as on poetry itself.
