An Infrastructure for Open Interaction Systems

We propose to extend a project funded by SNF-Div2, aimed at developing an infrastructure for Open Interaction Systems (OISs), oriented to the implementation of fully autonomous electronic marketplaces. We currently have a complete meta-model of OISs and we have compared, evaluated, and selected suitable technologies based on industry-level standards. We have also designed and implemented most of the main functionalities required by the infrastructure. In this project we will focus on a number of additional tasks that are important for the development of advanced OISs. Such tasks are mainly related to supporting core services and application-specific actions, and addressing issues concerned with portability, deployment and distribution. This project is aimed at carrying out these tasks.
