Biography
Eva Vroegop is a postdoctoral researcher in tourism and well-being at the Academy of Tourism of Fondazione Campus in Lucca (Tuscany), Italy.
At USI, Eva has conducted academic research and external consultancy on various tourism issues as a scientific collaborator of the Tourism Observatory (O-Tur), enabling tourism stakeholders to make informed decisions.
From 2014 until 2021, Eva coordinated the multidisciplinary USI Master in International Tourism programme, which is an interfaculty Master’s degree offered by the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society. The USI Master in International Tourism (120 ECTS) offers two Minor titles – the Minor in Sustainable Management and the Minor in eTourism – and is entirely taught in English.
Eva holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Communication Sciences – Major in International Tourism from USI and studied Tourism Management at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand on top of her Bachelor’s degree in Public Management and Law at Tilburg University, the Netherlands.

- Well-being: nature-based tourism and regenerative tourism
- Cognitive and positive psychology approaches to understanding tourist behaviour
- Travel products focusing on personal development
- Design thinking and tourism experience design
- Talent development in higher tourism education
- Tourism economics (utility, preferences, constraints) and behavioural economics
