Abstract
The project aims at developing a framework for interpreting the user interaction with a website as a dialogue.
The research will study the dynamics of the web dialogue using proven methodologies both in the field of dialogue analysis and systematic web design in the domain of cultural-heritage and educational information-intensive websites.
Expected results include guidelines for improving the quality of websites in a user-centered perspective, as well as the definition of new web design models based on dialogic primitives. Finally, the investigation of the success factors for a web dialogue will enable to improve existing technologies and design techniques for web accessibility via the oral channel (especially for visually-impaired users).
