Plans to avoid the need to travel to Europe

The Dante Consortium will carry out an intensive review of national and city data to determine changes in the pattern of travel over the last ten years by mode, distance and purpose. The research will concentrate on those trips which are important contributors to overall patterns of mobility and will determine the strategies which will be most effective in obtaining switching or substitution effects. An assessment framework will be established to assess the potential for change.
