Ogni nuova ricerca che genera una forma architettonica è legata alla percezione umana, alla nostra memoria e a noi stessi: all’esperienza individuale e collettiva che siamo in grado di esplorare e rivestire. Attraverso l’analisi dei reperti della storia concretamente vissuta dalla società, comprendiamo le origini delle forme. Studiando un contesto specifico evitiamo progetti superficiali e casuali.
Obiettivi
Ci poniamo degli obiettivi: pensieri precisi, intenzioni chiaramente articolate e proposte adeguate, siano esse radicali o moderate. Se la nostra architettura risulterà precisa, coerente e ambigua, allora avrà anche un potenziale assai maggiore per durare nel tempo, restare significativa e sostenibile per le condizioni di vita di un gran numero di generazioni future.

Impostazione pedagogico-didattica
II corso mira a insegnare una metodologia di progettazione culturalmente inserita nel contesto. La cattedra rispecchia e mette continuamente in discussione la strategia proposta dagli studenti. L'obiettivo è consentire loro di adottare una posizione architettonica indipendente che integri un forte progetto formale in un insieme.
Modalità d’esame
L'esame finale consiste nella presentazione di un progetto sviluppato su varie scale. I principali criteri di valutazione sono la profondità dei contenuti, la rilevanza del progetto e la completezza dei requisiti del progetto.
