Mohammadali Mokhtari

I am researching health economics, development economics and their intersection. I enjoy answering interesting social science and health questions using causal econometrics and machine learning. I teach "Macroeconomics" and "Quantitative methods for policy evaluation" as an assistant to Professor Giovanni Pica, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics. Both courses are for the Master of Economics study program in Lugano. Prior to joining USI in Lugano, researched for the Ministry of Welfare of Iran and collaborated with the academic frontiers of economics and the University of Zurich. I have also taught math as one of my part-time interests for several years. My sense of adventure has always led me to look for new ways to learn and use what I know. This gave me more confidence, improved my skills and made me want to learn more about data science, analytics and programming
