Biografia

Nele Langebraun is a Ph.D. student and teaching assistant at the Institute of Marketing and Communication Management (IMCA) of the Faculty of Communication, Culture, and Society. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from the University of Oxford, and an MA in Environmental and Food Economics (cum laude) from the Università degli Studi di Milano. Focusing on energy- and climate change economics, her master’s thesis looked at the effects of extreme whether events on price transmission across local grain markets in the Sahel region.

 

Her current research focuses on research methods, particularly qualitative methods and case study research, where she investigates the role of time and context in theorising in management and organization studies. Her paper “A Servant of Many Masters: Unpacking the theorising diversity of the single case study” was awarded the Best Full Paper Award at the British Academy of Management Conference 2023. 

 

Nele’s research interests include research methods, organization theory, and sustainability. In addition to her academic activities, she is a member of the board of ACSI, the consumer organization of Italian-speaking Switzerland.
