Donato Anchora


Donato Anchora (1974), architect and urban planner, studied at the ETH-Zürich and at the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, where he graduated with Aurelio Galfetti and Luigi Snozzi in 2002. He deepens his studies in urban planning by winning a scholarship at the Politecnico di Milano for the international master "Polismaker in management of urban transformations". Owner of an architecture and urban planning studio, he collaborates with illustrious names and various public and private institutions. Assistant in AAM of prof. Massimo Carmassi, Bernhard Furrer, Stanislaus von Moos, Matthias Neuenschwander, Francesco Venezia. Scientific collaborator of the Cultural Heritage Office of the Department of the Territory of the Canton of Ticino. He has published several articles on young architects in Ticino. Afferent to ISUP, Institute of Urban and Landscape Studies, where he carries out teaching activities with prof. Gianni Biondillo, Alessandro Gianni Coppola, Fabio Giacomazzi, Michael Jakob, Manuel Orazi.

Since 2022 he has been Head of Traditional Villagies and Cultural Heritage, Secretary of the Urban Planning Commission of the City of Lugano.
