FRANCESCO REGAZZONI received the MSc degree (Laurea) in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and both the Master of Advanced Studies in Embedded Systems Design and the PhD in Computer Science from Università della Svizzera italiana. He is a senior researcher at the Faculty of Informatics of Unviersità della Svizzera italiana.
Francesco has been a post doctoral researcher at the Crypto Group of the Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium) from December 2008 to August 2011 and at the Delft University of Technology (Delft, The Netherlands) from September 2012 to May 2013. He has also been visiting researcher at NEC Labs America (Princeton, NJ, USA) for 15 months from August 2003 to December 2016, EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) for 6 months from July 2007 to November 2008, and NTU Singapore from January 2014 to February 2014.
He holds 1 patents and has published one book and more than 100 papers in peer reviewed international journals and conference proceedings.
His research interest are in the area of security, focusing in particular on embedded and cyber-physical systems security, side channel attacks, post-quantum cryptography, electronic design automation for security, hardware trojans, random number generators and security of artificial intelligence and of approximated computing. He also conducted research in operating systems and hardware/software co-design.
