Biography
Merve Gül Barut is a PhD student at the Institute of Management and Organization (IMO) at USI. Before joining the PhD program, she obtained her BSc in Business Administration at Hacettepe University and MSc in Science and Technology Policy Studies at Middle East Technical University in Turkey.
She is interested in theories of organizational sociology, ecology and market categories in her research. Leveraging these theories, she examines the construction and reconstruction of markets within long-standing industries, with a focus on the key actors and traditions that characterize them.
