Biography

He holds a degree in Philosophy (Università degli Studi of Milan) and a Ph.D. in Medieval History (Università degli Studi of Padua). He has collaborated with the Chair of History of the Medieval Church and Heretical Movements at the University of Milan, with the "Schedario storico territoriale dei comuni piemontesi" at the University of Turin and with various Italian publishers, including Laterza and Bruno Mondadori. He is a founding member of the "Società Italiana di Storia Ambientale" (Italian Society for Environmental History) and a former member of the scientific commission of the "Istituto Storico della Resistenza e della Società contemporanea Pietro Fornara in Novara".   Since 2012 he has been working at the Laboratory of Alpine History (LabiSAlp) where he is a lecturer-researcher. He has published in many Italian and international scientific journals and is the author and editor of several books.
