Prior of joining USI as Professor of Management and Organization, Elena Dalpiaz was an Associate Professor of Strategy at Imperial College Business School (London, UK). She earned a PhD in Business Administration from Bocconi University and has been visiting scholar at McCombs Business School, UT Austin (USA) and Alberta School of Business (Canada).
Her research focuses on the critical role of symbolic resources – legitimacy, identity, history, traditions and narratives among others– during organizational change and for the creation of new market opportunities.
She serves as Associate Editor for Journal of Management Studies and as member of the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Theory, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.
Elena’s research has been published in the premiere management journals, including Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Strategic Organization, Journal of Business Venturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice.
